Effective date: July 22, 2026 (replaces the policy dated April 22, 2022)

Who we are

Children's Peace Initiative, LLC ("CPI," "we," "us") provides a Pre-K–5 social and emotional learning curriculum to schools, school districts, and educators through our website and member portal at childrenspeaceinitiative.com and our store at shop.childrenspeaceinitiative.com.

The short version

Our customers are adults — teachers, school leaders, and districts. Children do not create accounts on our platform, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Curriculum materials are delivered to and administered by educators in the classroom.

Information we collect

  • Account information from educators and schools: name, email address, school affiliation, and login credentials for the member portal.
  • Payment information, processed by our payment providers (Kajabi's integrated payment processing and, for store purchases, Shopify). CPI does not store full card numbers.
  • Usage information: pages visited and lessons accessed within the member portal, collected to improve the curriculum and support member accounts.
  • Communications: messages you send us through our contact form, support requests, and newsletter signups.

We do not collect date of birth, home address, or social media profiles, and we do not sell personal information.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

Our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Students do not register, log in, or submit information to CPI; lessons are taught by educators using printed, projected, or teacher-operated materials. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us through the form at childrenspeaceinitiative.com/contact-cpi or call 404-965-0802, and we will delete it promptly.

Student records (FERPA)

CPI's standard offering does not collect, store, or process student education records as defined by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act. If a school or district engages CPI in a manner that involves student information (for example, program outcome evaluation), CPI acts as a "school official" under FERPA at the district's direction, uses the information solely for the contracted purpose, does not sell student information or use it for advertising, and deletes it at the end of the engagement.

How we use information

To provide the member portal and curriculum, process payments, provide support, send service announcements and (with your consent) marketing email, and improve our materials.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers that operate our platform (website and member-portal hosting, payment processing, and email delivery), under terms limiting their use of the data, and as required by law. We do not sell personal information.

Your choices

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. To access, correct, or delete your account information, contact us through the form at childrenspeaceinitiative.com/contact-cpi or call 404-965-0802.

Data retention

We retain account information for the life of the membership plus 24 months, after which it is deleted or anonymized.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS). Member accounts are protected by login credentials, and payment processing is handled by PCI-compliant providers.
